Over the past two decades, the world saw an extreme rise in plastic and cosmetic surgeries. Plastic surgery nowadays has become as common as getting the flu- and there is now barely any stigma around it, but the problem with how common it is now is that people seem to forget that it still is a form of surgery and it can have extreme side effects- with some of them being death.
The Harmful Effects of Plastic Surgery
The Kardashians are consistently body shamed by the media and their own mother, target millions of women telling them they can attain their look by buying their product despite having professional trainers, dieticians and plastic surgeons on hand, not to mention the fact they photoshop a lot of their pictures.
The Kardashians have consistently promoted weight loss products that can lead to the development of eating disorders in young girls. Even after Khloe Kardashian's weight loss which she claimed 'was for the right reason', she made a show where she exploited women into losing weight in order to seek revenge which is a toxic mindset that can become extremely obsessive and can lead a person to develop an eating disorder.
The Kardashians also consistently deny their plastic surgery and pay the paparazzi to photoshop and airbrush their photos which sends the wrong image of them to their young and impressionable audience. When an unphotoshopped picture of Kim Kardashian was leaked, she herself was in denial as she was not used to seeing her body in its natural form. The Kardashians have caused a lot of insecurities in women and this is seen in the rise of Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBLs), a fan went as extreme as getting her rib cage removed to look like Kim Kardashian, the Kardashians have even led girls as young as 12 years old to sexualize themselves on social media.
